India Skills Report 2026 — employability climbs, women surpass men

India's national employability score rose to 56.35% (from 54.81% in 2025, up from 46% in 2020), based on Global Employability Test results from over 100,000 candidates. For the first time in five years, women's employability (54%) overtook men's (51.5%), and hiring intent for FY26-27 rose to 40% from 29%.
