Leadership Confidence Far Outpaces Readiness for AI-Driven Change
While 98% of people managers believe they're equipped to lead through future challenges, only 35% say AI has meaningfully simplified their role, and there's a sharp confidence gap by level: 66% of C-suite leaders feel ready for what's ahead versus just 42% of middle managers. Mid-level managers also receive far less training for difficult conversations (38%) than executives (61%).
The gap sits specifically at the frontline-manager layer — the group actually translating AI-driven change into daily team behavior — making manager capability-building a higher-leverage investment than executive AI briefings.
